Genia C. Philip is the CEO of the Synergy Strategy Group where she is the lead business, non-profit, and community development strategist.​ Genia leads her team to position clients to achieve optimal growth and success by working with leadership teams to clarify their objectives and improve profitability with goals, action items, and processes that deliver results. She is a demonstrated strategist, executive coach, administrator, fund development, and economic/community development expert with proven success in developing and implementing fund development strategies, having raised millions throughout her career.

As an experienced, results-driven, C-Level administrator and executive leadership professional in the for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors, Genia has unique and valuable knowledge about the inner workings of such entities which is a tremendous benefit to clients. Therefore, Genia delivers superior strategic planning, organizational capacity building, infrastructure development, operations, program design and management, fund development, budgeting, and business management services. She also brings extensive knowledge and best practices in leading and managing entities with complex funding, programmatic, organizational, staffing, and management structures.

Genia attended Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and majored in Computer Information Systems. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Additionally, she has received a Certificate in Non-Profit Financial Management from Rutgers University, Center for Non-Profit Management, a Non-Profit Executive Leadership Certificate from Seton Hall University, and a Certificate in Professional Fundraising, Boston University Center for Professional Education.
